SMS / Text Message Communications

This section describes how Stream Bookkeeping and Taxes LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”) collects and uses information in connection with our text messaging (SMS/MMS) program.

Mobile information we collect. When you enroll in or interact with our text messaging program, we collect your mobile phone number and information about your messages with us, such as the date and time of messages and your opt-in and opt-out requests.

How we obtain your consent. We obtain your consent to send you text messages in one or more of the following ways: when you provide your mobile number on our client engagement or intake form; when you, as an existing client, have provided your mobile number to us in the course of our services; when you provide your number to us verbally or by request; or when you initiate a text message to us. By providing your mobile number to us through any of these methods, you expressly consent to receive service-related text messages from Stream Bookkeeping and Taxes LLC regarding your account, services, requests, deadlines, and deliverables, as described in this section. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

How we use your mobile information. We use your mobile phone number solely to send and receive text messages related to our services — for example, reminders to provide information or documents we need from you, secure links to your financial reports and other deliverables, tax and filing deadline notices, and replies to messages you send us. If you send a text message to us, we may use your mobile number to respond to your inquiry and continue the conversation regarding our services. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. We do not include sensitive personal or financial information (such as Social Security numbers or account numbers) in the text of our messages.

No sharing of mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We use trusted service providers (such as our messaging platform provider) solely to deliver messages on our behalf, and these providers are not permitted to use your mobile information for any other purpose.

Opting out. You may opt out of our text messaging program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, we will not send you further text messages except to confirm your opt-out. Opting out of texts will not affect your ability to receive communications from us by other means, such as email or phone.
